VOCALOID7 New Features and New Voice Bank Releases
Since its debut in 2003, VOCALOID has expanded the possibilities of musical expression and inspired a unique creative culture around the world.
Over the years, VOCALOID has grown beyond music production software to become a platform that inspires creativity across generations of creators and fans.
We are pleased to announce new features of VOCALOID7, scheduled for release on November 11, 2026, along with information on the new Voice Banks launching.
VOCALOID7, the first major update in four years, introduces enhanced features to support creators while offering new ways for fans to enjoy VOCALOID. Evolving beyond a creative tool into a platform for enjoying music, the VOCALOID7 Editor is available from the VOCALOID SHOP.

The upgrade version is available to all users of VOCALOID3 through VOCALOID6, as well as VOCALOID Editor for Cubase.
A valid serial number is required. (Excludes Tiny VOCALOID3 Editor、VOCALOID6 Editor Lite、VOCALO CHANGER PLUGIN)
* All VOCALOID3-6 voicebanks are compatible with VOCALOID7 Editor.
* Voicebanks released prior to VOCALOID7 remain supported and can continue to be used with their corresponding synthesis versions.

Key Features of VOCALOID7
１.Second-Generation VOCALOID:AI
VOCALOID7 features an enhanced VOCALOID:AI, delivering more natural and expressive vocals. The new ATTACK parameter enables greater control over pronunciation and articulation without complex adjustments. In addition, the VOICE TYPE feature allows users to switch between different vocal characteristics within the same Voice Bank, providing a wider range of expressive options to suit each song.
* Japanese, English, and Chinese are supported.
* VOICE TYPE is supported only for VOCALOID7 Voice Banks.
２.Seamless Integration with Cubase
VOCALOID7 offers enhanced integration with Cubase, allowing essential operations such as note and lyrics input to be performed directly within the Cubase Key Editor. Nobs such as EXPRESSION and ATTACK can also be adjusted using dedicated controls in Cubase, enabling a more efficient music production workflow. VOCALOID7 Editor also includes Cubase AI, allowing users to start creating music immediately.
* Cubase AI is not included with the upgrade version.
３.Bundled Voicebank
“asa” is a Voice Bank included with VOCALOID7 Editor.
Combining a clear, distinctive voice with a wide range of expressive capabilities, asa enables users to begin full-scale music production right away.
４.Illustration Display
VOCALOID7 now allows you to display your favorite illustrations directly within the interface. You can replace the displayed illustration with your own image and enjoy creating music alongside your favorite artwork.
* Only PNG files up to 1024 × 1024 pixels are supported.
５.Pitch Curve Preservation
Synthesized pitch curves can now be preserved and locked, allowing them to be reproduced with different Voice Banks. This provides greater flexibility in selecting the preferred synthesis for vocal production.

New Voice Banks
The following Voice Banks will be released on November 11, 2026, and will be available for purchase from the VOCALOID SHOP.
Each Voice Bank includes VOCALOID7 Editor Lite, allowing you to start creating synthesized vocals with VOCALOID7 simply by purchasing the Voice Bank of your choice.
* VOCALOID7 Editor Lite is a limited-feature version of VOCALOID7 Editor. It operates in standalone mode only and supports a maximum of two tracks in total: a VOCALOID:AI or VOCALOID track combined with an audio track.
* VOCALOID7 Editor Lite can be downloaded from the official VOCALOID website and used without activation.

AI Megpoid
This Voice Bank for VOCALOID7 is based on the voice of singer and voice actress Megumi Nakajima. Optimized for VOCALOID7’s AI technology, it delivers natural expression and a new level of flexibility in vocal creation. Depending on your direction, you can create a wide variety of vocal styles, ranging from natural, human-like singing to futuristic robotic voices.
Eight Voice Types are available: Native, Whisper, Cute, Downer, Power, Soft, Vivid and Ballade. Switch between them to select the vocal character that best suits your music.
GekiyakuV / KazehikiV
GekiyakuV and KazehikiV bring two unique characters to VOCALOID7: the energetic Gekiyaku and the timid, slightly sleep-deprived Kazehiki. Their voices have been refined for greater clarity while preserving and enhancing their distinctive vocal characters. Available individually or together as a value-priced bundle.
GekiyakuV : It is characterised by a strong and artless girl's voice.
KazehikiV : It is characterised by a neutral and husky voice.
NurseRobot_TypeT
NurseRobot_TypeT is one of the characters from "Kuranari Private Hospital" Created by a doctor, she is a nurse-type android known for her soft, whispery girl’s voice, a trait that has made her very popular. With its soft, airy tone and gentle, whisper-like character, the VOCALOID7 version delivers an even more delicate and ethereal singing voice.
LUCI
Created from the voice of VSinger Akatsuki Ruki, who dreams of becoming an angel someday, this Voice Bank for VOCALOID7 features a rich, full-bodied tone with a powerful presence. From bold and dynamic performances to delicate, emotional expression, its versatile voice brings a distinctive character to your music.
